Nydri

Nydri is in eastern Lefkada and it is the most developed tourist resort in the island.

For this reason, nowadays, it is the holiday destination of  most tourists who visit Lefkada. There are modern hotels, rooms to let, restaurants and bars. Holidaymakers are also given the opportunity to take up water sports, sailing and scuba – diving.

The group of islands, which lie in the bay, is of unparalleled beauty. Prigiponisia         (Spart  and Scorpios, the island  of  the legendary Aristotle Onassis, Madouri where the poet Valaoritis lived, Scorpidi and Cheloni), Meganisi as well as the peninsula of Agia  Kyriaki on the right are places of unique  natural beauty. They are worth visiting! You can go on organised boat tours daily or even visit more distant destinations, including Egremnoi and Porto Katsiki.

Another important natural sight on the island is the waterfalls formed by the Dimosari River, 3km from the sea and towards the hinterland of Nydri (2,5km from our establishment). The thick vegetation, the tall plane – trees, the huge cliffs and the fierce water from the waterfall create  an impressive sight of natural beauty. You can swim in the turquoise waters of the lake formed by the waterfall and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.
